•As per government guidance we will be moving to a telephone triage service from Monday (16th March).
You may find it more convenient to submit an E-consult via our website.   Please copy and paste this text into your search bar - Moorlands surgery econsult  You will receive a response from a clinician within 48 hours.
• If your problem is more urgent please contact the surgery and a telephone triage appointment will be arranged. If the clinician feels you need to be seen, please be reassured that a face to face appointment will be made.

 
•If you have a NEW persistent cough or a high temperature above 37.8C and are worried you may have coronavirus you need to follow these guidelines
 
–If you live alone you should stay at home (self-isolate) for 7 days from the onset of symptoms following the current advice.
–If you live with others then you must stay at home for 7 days, but all other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days
–After 7 days of self-isolation, people who feel better and no longer have a high temperature can return to their normal routine
–If they have serious symptoms that they cannot manage or have no signs of improvement after 7 days they should use NHS111

From the 1st September you will not be able to order your prescription through your pharmacy. You can order it online 24/7 or by dropping your repeat slip into the surgery letter box.

Mens Health Clinic

We have started running a clinic for Mens Health the clinics are on a Monday evening, Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Citizens Advice Bureau COVID-19 update

Our GP surgery services due to the coronavirus pandemic
We are still offering a telephone service via the GP surgeries to all clients needing help and support.
You can contact the following surgeries and request an appointment (morning appointments only)

Clifton Court Surgery on 01325 465646 on a Monday every fortnight
Denmark Street Surgery on 01325460731 –on a Monday every fortnight
Orchard Court on 01325 465285 –on a Wednesday every fortnight
Whinfield Surgery on 01325 481321-on a Wednesday every fortnight
Moorlands Surgery on 01325 469168 –on a Thursday every fortnight
Neasham Road Surgery on 01325 469168 –on a Thursday every fortnight 

Clients can make an appointment at any GP surgery as long as they are registered at any GP surgery in Darlington.
We will contact you on the specified date and time of your appointment so please ensure your telephone /mobile is at hand and to have your personal details with you eg national insurance /all your income details.
We will endeavour to contact you at least twice but please bear with us if we are running late.
Any client who is worried about sending their Personal Independent forms / Employment and Support forms to contact the DWP and inform them regarding your current circumstances.
We will help you to complete them and will advise you of the procedures we have set in place.

Training Days:
The surgery is closed once a month from 12pm onwards for staff training. Unfortunately during this time there will be no access into the surgery and our phone lines will not be in use. Incase of emergencies during this time period please Contact 999 for medical emergencies and 111 for non urgent enquires.
